Use of Chimney Starter on Patio?
I just got a Charcoal Grill, and a Chimney starter from Weber. Because of how the grill I have works, the chimney starter will smoke up the thermometer on the grill cover. I grill on my brick patio at the back of my house. I am thinking, I could just light the chimney starter on the patio, but I figure it’ll probably discolor the bricks from the heat? I was thnking about buying a few bricks from the local garden store and lighting the chimney on top of those so they can take all of the heat for 15 minutes before I pour them into the grill. Is this safe? The bricks can handle this heat?
